Meet Teresa Outlaw, Casa’s Head of School
Greetings Casa Esperanza Parents and Guardians,
I want to welcome you to the new school year and to the beautiful family that you have created in Casa Esperanza Montessori Charter School! My name is Teresa Outlaw, and as your new Head of School, I want you to get a sense of who I am and my philosophy of leadership.
I am a believer. I believe that all students have the right to learn and grow in a stimulating educational environment that values their unique characteristics, talents and abilities. I believe that all students should be held to the highest expectations, with rigorous, relevant, and culturally responsive instruction that prepares them for a life of leadership in the 21st century. I believe that students should have agency over their learning and should be empowered with choices that enable them to explore their passions and interests. I believe that content should be accessible and relevant to student lives while broadening their horizons. I believe that all
students have the right to grow mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially in a safe and supportive learning environment that values their individuality. Through our student-centered learning environment, Casa Esperanza Montessori Charter School aims to harness the potential of each member of our community while enriching the growth and lives of every member.
I am excited to be at Casa and to be supporting our community as we all work together to do what is best for our students. My full-time start date is August 11th. When you can stop by, please take the time to introduce yourself. I’d love to get to know you!
