Welcome / Bienvenidos

Dear families,

Welcome back to another fabulous school year at CASA!

We are the homeroom teachers of LE 4 and the math and science teachers of LE 4 and LE 5.

We have been preparing ourselves for this school year, we are full of energy and commitment and will do #WhateverItTakes to have the best school year possible!

We are launching our twitter account: @Casa_LE4

About Us

Srta. Andrea Vargas

I was born in Colombia, a country full of beautiful landscapes. I went to college in Colombia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Basic Education, Spanish and Humanities. I have five years of experience as a teacher. This is will be my second year at Casa. Last year I learned a lot of new things and got a Certificate by the Center of Montessori Studies as well as the Level 1 Google Certification for Educators. I’m really excited about this new school year and work with first and second graders!

Sra. Marisa Márquez

I am originally from Guadalajara, Mexico where I was a substitute and Art teacher. Since coming to the United States in 2014, I have worked with children in a variety of settings including Casa’s after school program. I have worked as coteacher for 6 years now from Kindergarten to 4th grade. I’m excited to be a member of the Casa community and look forward to working with your child this school year!

  • Science: What happens when objects vibrate? How can I use light?

  • Math: How can I build numbers to add and subtract? How can use standards units to measure objects? How can I show the expanded form of a number? How can I represent and change money with different bills? What is the place of each number in a 3 digit number?
